Undergrads Presented with Three Awards at the 2022 Alpha Tau Omega Congress

Brothers Ryan Prestayko and Elijah Beard recently represented the Gamma Omega Chapter at the 2022 Alpha Tau Omega Congress in Orlando. The Penn State chapter was granted three awards at the awards banquet. Read on to see what else the brothers had to say about the weekend.

“Myself, along with Elijah Beard (rising sophomore) had a great weekend in Orlando at the 2022 Alpha Tau Omega Congress.  We were lucky to be able to stay at the Ritz Carlton and had all expenses paid for.  The weekend consisted of many informational lectures and seminars regarding recruitment, finances, member education. We were able to network and share ideas with other ATO chapters from across the country.  On the final day, the awards banquet was held where we were gifted with three separate awards.  Our first award was for recognition in academics and recruitment.  The second award was the ATO Impact award for the highest philanthropic total dollars raised out of all the chapters.  Lastly, we were gifted the True Merit Award thanks to the annual report put together by our secretary (Dom Eilbacher), this award is given to the top 25 chapters and we broke our 9-year drought of this award.  This was overall a great weekend where we were able to learn techniques to better our chapter moving forward and were gifted with more accolades to add to the chapter’s history of success.  We plan to keep this momentum going into this new school year!” – Ryan Prestayko
